The Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association Australia and New Zealand
(ICOMAA ANZ) was established on 17 December 2022, driven by a shared commitment to foster a strong community among alumni in the ANZ region and to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of medical education and healthcare at our Alma Mater, the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
ICOMAA ANZ adheres to stringent Australian regulatory requirements. Our governance structure is guided by our constitution, which mandates a minimum of three directors and regular annual general meetings. We are fully compliant with the Corporations Act 2001, ensuring responsible and ethical operations. Our ACNC registration and DGR status underline our commitment to financial transparency and effective use of funds, with annual financial returns submitted to the ACNC, and audits conducted if earnings exceed AUD $250,000.
To promote the welfare and progress of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and its
teaching hospital, the University College Hospital (UCH), while fostering a strong network and
spirit of fellowship among our members in Australia and New Zealand.
To support and promote the educational, teaching, and research activities of the College of
Medicine, University of Ibadan, ensuring it remains a global centre of excellence, and to build
a vibrant, viable, and impactful alumni association across Australia and New Zealand.
Our volunteering program brings passionate individuals together to make a meaningful impact. Whether you offer time, skills, or ideas, every contribution helps strengthen our mission. Volunteers support events, outreach, mentoring, and community projects across ANZ and Nigeria.
